I don’t want to spoil anything about the plot or characters in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but there’s a lot of talk about the impending sequel to the beloved 1977 sci-fi blockbuster.
But for many fans, the anticipation for the new installment is about as strong as the original’s.
A lot of fans have been clamoring for the sequel to Star Wars to arrive for some time now.
“If you’re like me and you’re one of those people who grew up watching Star Wars and want to watch a sequel, then this is your chance,” Star Wars veteran and sci-fantasy author Jim Lee told Entertainment Weekly.
“If you’ve seen the first film and haven’t, I know how exciting it is for you.
But if you’ve never seen the original, and you’ve only seen the trailers and the teaser, then I can understand why this is so exciting.
It’s about more than just a single film.
It has to be a trilogy.”
Lee says he’s been waiting for the chance to reprise his role as Darth Vader for a long time.
I’ve been waiting years for the return of my Darth Vader, Lee says, and he thinks he finally got it in The Force Unleashed.
But for some, this isn’t about the first time fans see Darth Vader again.
This isn’t even about a sequel to The Force, Lee argues.
“I think this is a return of the original trilogy.
It was about the original vision, and the original ideas and what the Empire stood for.
The new vision, that’s a totally different world and different story, and it’s different for everyone.”
I don’t think I’ve seen Star Wars in 25 years, Lee insists, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it at all.
It took over 25 years for audiences to get their hands on Star Wars II, and fans have waited years for a new installment.
So what does the new Star Wars have to offer?
For Lee, it’s a return to a galaxy far, far away.
Star Wars fans have known about the galaxy far far away for a while, and The Force is set in the distant future.
In The Force and the Empire, the Empire has colonized the galaxy and has been trying to use the Force to conquer the human race.
The Rebellion has been waging war against the Empire.
And the Rebel Alliance is a band of rebels who are fighting for the cause of freedom and justice.
In The Force , the Jedi Knights are the main heroes.
While we know that the Force has been used to conquer planets, the Jedi are still the guardians of the peace.
Lee has spent most of his life playing Jedi Knight.
He was trained by Palpatine, who taught him how to use his mind powers.
He is trained by the Sith Lord Darth Maul, and his mentor, Mace Windu, also trained him.
And now he’s back, as a Sith apprentice, fighting to restore the Jedi Order and to end the Empire in the name of the Force.
But it’s not just the Force and Force users that are on the list of things to see in the sequel.
The characters and themes of the story also have to make an appearance, according to Lee.
You’re going to see a lot more of those characters and more of the same stories that we’ve seen in the first two films.
And you’re going a little bit further into the future than in the original films, too.
The new film opens with the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, who is sent to the distant planet of Tatooine to stop an ancient Sith entity called the First Order.
He discovers that the First Guard is a race of alien beings that are bent on controlling the galaxy, and they want to wipe out the Jedi.
Obi-Wan must fight the First Guards, but they’re outnumbered and outgunned.
Obi-wan is then rescued by Anakin Skywalker, who has been trained by Jedi Master Obi-Zaki.
And now, they’re back on Tatooina.
And in the new film, there’s also a new character called Palpatin, a young Padawan.
Palpatin is the young Jedi apprentice who is given the role of leading a group of students in an effort to fight the Jedi on the distant moon of Yavin 4.
That’s where Obi-Yoda, a former apprentice of Anakin, comes in to teach Palpatins new ways of using the Force in order to defeat the First Army.
When you see the characters of Palpatians and Palpatinos of the old movies, and when you see Obi-Rays, they look like they’re old people.
But they’re not.
There are some familiar faces in the franchise, but new ones, too, as Lee points out.
